Overview The Youth Ministry here at First Baptist is centered on Christ and His commandments to His church. The goal of this ministry is to develop young people into active Christians dependent on God as they are approaching the independent stage of their lives. This is done through numerous activities. Weekly opportunities include Sunday School, Wednesday night JV AWANA, Wednesday night Senior High Youth Group, and various Bible studies. The young people also meet for times of food, fun, and fellowship on a monthly basis at our S.N.A.C.’s. Other opportunities come through multiple outreach events, Youth Rallies with surrounding churches, and various local ministries to the community. Higher level activities encourage the young people to strengthen their spiritual walk and leadership. These activities include annual missions trips and leadership retreats. Our ministry also provides summer camping, college trips, and church-wide activities our young people are encouraged to be involved in. This all is for the purpose of developing well-rounded and well-grounded young adults.
