The First Baptist Church Women's Ministry seeks to win women to Christ and encourage them to grow in their relationship with God and others by providing opportunities for spiritual growth, close fellowship, meaningful service and effective outreach.
Telling The Story
The Women's Ministry Theme for 2012/2013 is "I Love To Tell The Story" featuring Ephesians 6:15, which says, "And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace." Below you will find ministries for women 18 and older, that tie into this theme and allow you to become involved in four separate opportunities, as part of Women's Ministry mission.
Spiritual Growth Opportunities
Women's Bible studies take place at various days and times throughout the week to meet your busy schedule. We encourage you to join us for one of our dynamic and life-changing, which can be joined at any time during the year.
Join First Baptist Church Women in a Bible study on "Experiencing God". This class takes place Thursday mornings from 10:00 to 11:30 in the Reception Room off the church's main foyer.
First Place 4 Health
First Place 4 Health is a wellness program that focuses on putting Christ first in the four areas of our lives: heart, soul, mind and strength (Mark 12:30). Join First Baptist Church Women in learning how to live a balanced life. This class takes place Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:00 in the Church Fellowship Hall.
This class is open to all women ages 18 and older and meets in the library on Sunday morning at 9:00.
This is an opportunity for younger women in attendance at First Baptist Church to meet for face-to-face counseling and personal mentoring by older women in the church. To become part of the women's mentoring ministry as a younger woman or mentor, please contact the church at 440-458-5128 or visit our welcome center located in the main lobby during regular church services.
In our busy world we seldom take time to stop and truly enjoy the people around us. Time spent with others, especially those who have a heart for God, can be so uplifting and fulfilling. Join the women of First Baptist Church in the close fellowship opportunities below.
Join First Baptist Church women for this monthly fellowship, working with our hands crocheting and quilting. Stitching Sisters meets on the last Tuesday morning of the month at 10:00 in the Reception Room off the church foyer.
Ladies Day Out
Join the women of First Baptist Church on the first Sunday of each month following the regular morning services for lunch at a neighborhood restaurant. The location will be announced during the announcement portion of our morning service the month prior to the event.

Taste Of Grace
The women of First Baptist Church take great pride in serving the church and local community through the Taste of Grace ministry. Taste of Grace serves in providing meals for convalescents and new parents, respite care, church transportation, shut-in visitation, military and student encouragement, and other special events. The First Baptist Church women's ministry offers outreach opportunities each month. These outreach opportunities give women the ability to serve both locally and globally by using their talents and time to minister to others.
Women for Missions
Women for Missions serve missionaries and their families with encouragement and tangible items for missions services. They offer a greeting card services that acknowledges missionary birthdays and anniversaries, while also managing the inventory and distribution of the FBC "Missionary Closet" of items needed on the mission field. Women for Missions meet at 10:00am in the Carey Reception Room on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
Faith Baptist Community Center
Located in the city of Cleveland, the Faith Baptist Community Center, along with the women of First Baptist Church, provide a monthly luncheon and Bible study for women in the inner city. This takes place on the third Thursday of each month, leaving the church at 10:00am.
