First Baptist Church provides quality children's programming to meet the needs of your child in today's world. There are a variety of weekly and occasional ministries designed to make learning God's Word fun, exciting and practical. While learning, children build friendships and develop creativity. We use well trained, loving people, who understand developmental stages of growth, to give your child the best possible experience.
Sunday School
Preschool: 2 & 3 year olds - Even the smallest children were important to Jesus. We want to give even these little ones a fun-filled introduction to learning the Bible through singing, learning Bible verses, short lessons and games.
4 & 5 year olds - Four and five year olds are alive with energy and excitement for learning. Our leaders want to channel this energy toward learning about God by singing, memorizing and guided play.
Grades 1 to 6 - We realize that as your child grows and develops, his/her abilities and needs change as well. Our grade school classes offer curriculum that is designed for your child's level of learning. Our goal is to help children grow in their relationship with God and to be more like Jesus. Our teachers work hard to make learning fun by using creative teaching methods and activities. There are contests, parties and other events to help make Sunday School enjoyable and a great opportunity to meet new friends.

Children's Church

Children's church provides a worship experience which has been tailored to the age of your child. Your child will experience worshipping God through song and learning the Bible. Quality Bible lessons are presented by teachers who want kids to know more about a God who loves them and died for them. We want to give parent and child the best possible worship experience!
Nursery Care
Our loving Babyland staff will provide worry free care for your children while you are worshipping and learning. Staffers are well trained and follow carefully defined policies so that your child can enjoy a safe, clean and fun environment. Nursery care is divided according to development so that the best possible care can be given.
Infant (birth to walking) - Available all services
Pre-Toddler (walking to age 2) - Available all services
Toddler (ages 2-3) - Available all services except Sunday School when a special class is provided for this age group.
AWANA
Ages 3 - Eighth Grade (JV Awana)
Wednesday 6:45 to 8:15PM
Awana is another exciting way for your child to become involved here at First Baptist Church during the week. Awana provides an award - achievement program that encourages children to memorize God's Word and complete instructional lessons. Awana is famous for its fun and high energy games. Club consists of games, handbooks, council time, awards, and seasonal events such as grand prix and Awana Olympics.

Occaional Ministries
VBS Marketplace - Your child will step back in time as we transform the FBC grounds into a Bible times village of thousands of years ago. Marketplace is one of our church's biggest events of the year! It is a week long learning experience each summer that will awaken the imagination of your child. Our kids have conquered the land of Israel with Joshua and walked the streets with Jesus.
Musicals - If your child likes music, he/she will want to participate in one of our children's musicals. Your child will learn more about music and drama by participating in one of these events.
Summer Camps - Not all learning takes place at church. That is why we encourage our children to attend a week of summer camp. Children enjoy games, crafts, outdoor activities, swimming, fun speakers, making new friends and much more. Inquire at our church office for more information about this important opportunity.
